Step by step

How studying together online works.

01

Sign up in 30 seconds.

Go to studuo.live and create a free account with your email. No profile to fill in, no settings to configure, no trial period. You're in.

02

Open a room and pick your subject.

Click "Start studying" and tell Studuo what you're working on. Enter a subject — broad or specific, anything works. Choose your session length. The default is 25 minutes focus, 5 minutes break.

03

Get matched with a study buddy.

Studuo finds another student studying your subject or a related one. When a match is found, you both land in the same room. No introduction required. Just start the timer.

04

Study together.

The Pomodoro timer starts. You both work. When it hits zero, you both take a break. Then you go again. Most students get more done in one Studuo session than an entire solo afternoon.

Why we use it

The Pomodoro study method.

Francesco Cirillo invented the Pomodoro technique in the 1980s using a tomato-shaped kitchen timer. He broke study time into 25-minute blocks with short breaks between them.

It works because your brain can only sustain deep focus for so long. Short, intense bursts with real recovery beat long, dragging sessions every time.

On Studuo, the timer runs for both of you at once. That shared rhythm adds an accountability layer a solo timer can never replicate.

The honest version

What actually changes.

The first time you use Studuo, you might be skeptical. You're in a browser. There's a timer. Someone you've never met is in the same digital space as you.

And somehow — you work. You stay for the full 25 minutes. You don't check your phone. When the break hits, you feel the genuine satisfaction of a completed block.

The second session is easier. The third feels normal. By the fourth, you start opening Studuo the same way you'd open Spotify — because it's part of how you study now.

That shift is what we built Studuo for.
